A Celebrity Look-alikes column on Page 8A in Wednesday misidentified Christy Turlington's husband. He is actor Edward Burns. An article on page 2B of Wednesday gave incorrect information on a Broward County Schools teacher charged with child abuse. He was released from the Broward County jail early Friday on $1,000 bail.
A photo caption with an article on Page 1A Tuesday about the Fort Lauderdale Christmas Pageant misspelled Tom Faw's last name and incorrectly identified his role in the performance. Faw is the understudy for the role of Jesus. The lead in the pageant will be performed by Les Cheveldayoff. The 25th edition of the pageant opens Friday at the First Baptist Church of Fort Lauderdale, 301 E. Broward Blvd.
In an article on Page 2E of the Sunday Money section about Nova Southeastern University, the name of Service Employees International Union (SEIU) organizer Eric Brakken was misspelled.
A story that appeared Friday on Page 1A incorrectly spelled Jeffrey Walter Klee's middle name. A photo caption that appeared Friday on Page 1A with a story about a science teacher working in an underwater research lab did not reflect the photo used. In the file photo that was published, Mark Tohulka was not suiting up to train for his Aquarius mission but was wearing an antique diving suit.
Miami Herald photographer Marsha Halper took the beer-bottle photos that accompanied Fred Tasker's column in Thursday's Tropical Life section. The photo credit was inadvertently omitted.

A story Saturday on Page 1C about David Nelson, the head of the Miami office of the Securities and Exchange Commission, not facing disciplinary action for dropping a case against Bear Stearns requires clarification. Brenda Murray, the SEC official who found no wrongdoing, was not acting in her capacity as an administrative law judge. Her finding that Nelson did nothing wrong was not a ruling. Nonetheless, Murray's decision ends the inquiry.
A headline atop a brief news item about a body found on a West Broward levee was incorrect. The body was found by a South Florida Water Management district employee. The victim did not work for the water district. The error, on Page 3B of Friday's local section, was made in the editing process.

Sunday's TV Week magazine contains a cover story about the season premiere of Law & Order: Criminal Intent on the USA Network. The network decided last week, after the TV Week section had been printed, that it is postponing the debut. The show will return in early 2009, the network said.
