Soldier slain in Iraq wasn't from Florida
Miami Herald Staff Report
An Army master sergeant killed this week in Iraq was not from Deerfield Beach, as the Department of Defense first reported, his wife told The Miami Herald.
Master Sgt. Anthony Davis, 43, has actually lived in Triangle, Va., for the last eight years. His wife, Anna Davis, is from South Florida, but Sgt. Davis is originally from Baltimore.
Davis died Monday in Baaj, Iraq, after being shot by an Iraqi Security Force soldier while he was conducting a humanitarian food drop, according to the Department of Defense.
