O.J.'S co-defendant asks for leniency
O.J. Simpson's co-defendant is asking a Las Vegas judge for leniency and the minimum prison sentence in the gunpoint robbery of two sports memorabilia dealers.
Clarence ''C.J.'' Stewart's sentencing brief submitted Tuesday to Clark County District Judge Jackie Glass seeks a six-year sentence.
The brief refers to a state recommendation that the two men serve sentences totaling 18 years for kidnapping and armed robbery.
Sentencing is set for Friday. Simpson's lawyers say they intend to submit a brief before then.
