GOV. CHARLIE CRIST
What Florida's new first lady will wear
When Florida Gov. Charlie Crist waits at the altar for his bride to join him, what will he see?
Carole Rome, 39, selected a silk Dupioni gown by a Spanish designer, according to New York bridal store owner Carrie Hung. The gown is floor-length with a ruched, or softly folded, bodice.
The raven-haired Rome also chose a train-length veil made by Wedding Atelier that she could wear either over or off her face, and shoes with three-inch heels by British designer Filippa Scott.
She plans to accessorize with items from her mother.
Crist and Rome plan to marry Dec. 12 in St. Petersburg's First United Methodist Church.
