Viktor Tikhonov added a short-handed goal for the Coyotes, who open the regular season next Saturday by hosting Columbus. Shane Doan and Kevin Porter also lit the lamp.

Anze Kopitar and Dustin Brown hit the net once each for the Kings, who face the Sharks on Sunday for their final exhibition contest, Los Angeles begins its 2008-09 season next Saturday at San Jose.
